Emotional Intelligence
I have always been fascinated with what it means to be human. How it feels to be human. Human emotions are so intricate and complex, while they can strongly vary from moment to moment. The imagery resonates with the longing to feel happy or the heaviness of a deep sense of sadness. Emotional Intelligence is a visual exploration of what it means to understand our emotions and the capability of how consuming they can be within ourselves. I photographed flowers and water as symbols, that overlayed portraiture, to show how we can either grow and flourish or struggle and drown within our emotions and considered how that can make an impact long term. My goal was to visualize both to help myself and hopefully others, to focus their headspace and redirect their mind.
